City Council meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. and adjourned no later 10:00 p.m. as per Ordinance No. 3044 approved on December 17, 2024, in the City Council Chambers, located at  City Hall East, 11333 East Valley Boulevard, El Monte, CA 91731.

The  Planning Commission meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of  each month at 7:00 p.m. as per Ordinance No. 2821 approved on July 16,  2013 in the City Council Chambers, located at City Hall East, 11333 Valley Boulevard, El Monte, CA 91731.

The Yard Sales are held every quarter beginning the first weekend in March; followed by the first weekend in June; followed by the first weekend in September; and finally the first weekend in December .
