Foreclosure Registration Program

Code Enforcement actively addresses foreclosed homes through a comprehensive enforcement program aimed at eliminating the blight associated with properties in this condition and working with property owners to ensure that the properties are being maintained.
Foreclosure Assistance Programs
Code Enforcement staff; along with other City departments are working with local Non-profit originations that focus on providing legal assistance to those who may be facing foreclosure.
Registration Required
The beneficiaries of all residential properties that receive a Notice of Default are required to register with the City within 10 days following the filing of the Notice of Default. This progressive approach ensures that all responsible parties are identified prior to the property becoming vacant and blighted.
Routine Inspections
After a property is registered with the City, Code Enforcement staff conducts routine inspections to ensure that the property is being maintained on a regular basis.
