Pee Wee Co-Ed 6 Week Skills and Drills Sport Sessions

These introductory courses in Co-Ed Flag Football (Fall), Soccer (Winter) and Basketball (Spring) will teach children a wide range of beginning skills necessary to play the designated sport. Players will learn age specific offense and defense and much more.Sessions will culminate with a one day non-competitive game tournament on Saturday, October 21 at Mt. View Park. There are two age divisions: 4-6 year olds and 7-9 year olds. Registration is open Monday-Thursday 8:00 am-5:30 pm at the El Monte Community Center-Parks & Recreation Office or at any of the sites listed below. Youth (5th/6th Grade) / Teen (7th /8th Grade) Sport Leagues

Youth League is for 5th & 6th grade boys and girls at Baldwin Mini Park, Gibson Mariposa Park, Lambert Park, Mt. View Park, Zamora Park, Cogswell After School Recreation and Tutoring Program and Payne After School Recreation and Tutoring Program. Teen League is for 7th & 8th graders at Baldwin Mini Park, Gibson Mariposa Park, Lambert Park, Mt. View Park and Zamora Park. The children learn basic sport fundamentals, sportsmanship and teamwork in flag football (Fall), basketball (Winter), and soccer (Spring & Summer). This recreation program promotes fitness, teamwork, and camaraderie. The league fee includes a team t-shirt, a certificate, free shuttle transportation on game days, and a team trophy for the top team. The league will include a 1 week competitive tournament. Youth & Teen Co-Ed Sports Clinics

Flag Football Clinic (Fall), Basketball Clinic (Winter), and Soccer Clinic (Spring) are catered to improve knowledge and ability regardless of skill level. Clinics are open to boys and girls 8-14 years old and cover fundamentals of defense, offense, and much more. Nutritional component is included. The clinic fee includes an event t-shirt for the first 100 participants to register, a certificate, and free shuttle transportation from Baldwin Mini Park, Gibson Mariposa Park, Lambert Park, Mt.
